In my practice, I use a type of approach between the pictorial and the sculptural, objects of collective culture devoid of any landscape reference. It’s not about reproducing any object, nor do still life painting, nor satisfy a kind of bourgeois taste. My intention is to get through the external appearance of selective items of classical culture, a deep meaning, a meaning that can escape our comprehensive powers, and fully enforced.
Around the object I dispose pictorial empty, flax as devoid treatment element, airless, before the painting itself, reinforcing the sense of isolation in which we can understand as a sublimation of the so-called “anti-compounding”, present in the Spanish tradition still life painting and related objects way to work as a focus of interest.
